The 37th GRADUATION CEREMONY OF THE IFM



The 37th Graduation ceremony of the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011. At 1400 hours at the Karimjee Hall. The Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Hon Mustafa Mkullo will be the Guest of Honour.
Those who wish to participate in the aforesaid ceremony are requested to observe the following:

1.       Inform the Rector in writing of their intent to participate in the ceremony before 10th November 2011. Only those who will confirm their participation in the graduation ceremony will be considered   for hiring graduation gowns.
2.       Graduands  who wish to hire graduation gowns will sign an agreement and pay TZS 50,000/= to the Finance officer or use the clearance form available at the Department of Student records to commit themselves that the fees should be deducted from their caution money.
3.       The cost of hiring the gown is TZS 45,000/= and TZS 5,000/= as deposit. The deposit will be refunded when the gown is returned.
4.       Graduation gowns must be returned within seven days after the graduation ceremony. Failure to return the graduation gown on time will result in a penalty of TZS 10,000/= per day for all additional days. All Graduation gowns will be issued at the IFM Council Chamber as follow

·         Faculty of Accounting, Banking and Finance (FABF) – 11th -15th November 2011 from 1500-1800 hours.
·         Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (FEMS) -16th and 17th November 2011 from 1500-1800 hours.
·         Faculty of Insurance and Social Protection (FISP)- 18th and 21st November 2011 from 1500-1800 hours
·         Faculty of Computing, Information Technology and Mathematics (FCIM)- 22nd and 23rd November 2011 form 1500-1800 hours.
5.       There will be a rehearsal at Karimjee Hall on 24th November 2011 from 0900-1200 hours. Those who will not show up for rehearsal will be barred from attending the graduation ceremony and will graduate I absentia.
6.       Upcountry graduands are expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
